Mariljohn was very excited to be working with Phil Sexton and the team at Giant steps on this magnificent upgrade to their signature venue.
We work hard on the Design and construction brief with Suzanne (general manager) and extremely talented head chef Jarrod Hudson. The idea was to open a closed off kitchen and make it part of the dining experience.
The vison shown through this process was a true team effort. Headed up by Mariljohn director Mathew Kent, Mathew and Michael (lead kitchen designer at Mariljohn) crafted a classic floor plan that will not only look appealing for customers but for Jarrod in the functional space of the kitchen making things flow and be able to produce his beautiful dishes. For this bar and kitchen design project, Mariljohn handled all the construction works as well, Andrew Boyd (Mariljohn Project manager) lead the onsite work to turn the build around from demolition to fully open in 3 weeks!! What an effort.
